Description: This problem consists of analyzing the accuracy of the finite element method in modeling the plane wall thermal problem. The plane wall is 1 m thick. The left surface of the wall (x=0) is maintained at a constant temperature of 200˚C, and the right surface (x=L=1 m) is insulated. The thermal conductivity is Kxx=25 W/(m ˚C) and there is a uniform generation of heat inside the wall of Q=400 W/m3. Matlab Code is used to model the plane wall with five elements and compared with analytical solution.

Description: : In the design of drone propeller for smart agriculture, the image analysis techniques are employed to determine the angle of water spread by the propeller. For this study, drone propeller is kept at different heights and for each height the speed of the propeller blades are varied from 17500 rpm to 35000 rpm and the corresponding angle of water spread is determined by image processing techniques. This is repeated for different heights of the propeller. This study is aimed to help farmers find the optimum speed and position of the drone propeller to achieve the desired water coverage for their agricultural fields.
